Teaser Tuesday With My Bookshelf

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading.  Anyone can play along.  Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) teaser sentences from somewhere on that page
  • Be careful not to include spoilers!  (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away!  You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"Then everyone, even Mrs. Hackley, looked at me.  I swallowed the morsel of fish in my mouth without chewing.  I was not working in a carefree land of fantasy flamingoes and jewelled peacocks.  Now I understood the tension that made him smash vases."

"It was from Wally, dated October 25, 5:10 a.m., sent from his iPhone:  RG:  Hey, I'm alive.  Don't call the police and don't pay the ransom.  WF."

Please leave a comment.  You may leave a link to your TT post and I will be sure to visit you in return.

  2. Great teasers ... but I must admit the first one really has me puzzled. Thanks for stopping by my blog today! (So nice to see someone else from Alberta)

  3. I love both of your teasers! "... fantasy flamingoes and jewelled peacocks" from the first one grabbed my attention, and I'm definitely intrigued by the iPhone message in the second one. Both are great teasers!
    Mine is here: Sandy's Teaser
I hope you enjoy it, and the related video too.

  5. Smashing vases is probably very tension relieving. I actually just saw a special on this place you can go and pay to break things!

That would be some text message to receive but at lease he is alive!
Thanks for stopping by My TT!
