I'm so impatient. I want to buy them all at once. I don't like to wait a whole year or so for the next book.Alexis @ Reflections of a Bookaholichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13745513625965620545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4987722184686660770.post-81277193815225058822011-03-25T13:33:24.133-06:002011-03-25T13:33:24.133-06:00I like your answer, even if it makes me want to st...I like your answer, even if it makes me want to stop being so prejudiced against series. But I'm just too impatient, so it'll have to be a finished series. I have read Twilight, and that actually made me rethink the whole series thing when I read Breaking Dawn - it just felt like she knew she had everyone's attention and could write anything she wanted. Funny enough that is my favourite book out of the series, but for all the wrong reasons. I don't know, maybe it's the fear of investing time in something that might end in serious disappointment - if that makes any sense.FBThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11655437171734022043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4987722184686660770.post-17489506613385240942011-03-24T21:54:27.735-06:002011-03-24T21:54:27.735-06:00ah. I agree--there are some truly excellent stand-alone classics, Treasure Island, The Secret Garden, The Little Princess, etc. Fun answers!Sara Harricharanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07050427684753490067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4987722184686660770.post-8033027052171282542011-03-24T20:33:45.937-06:002011-03-24T20:33:45.937-06:00Good answer! In other words, series can be a comfort and solace. I could read series and stand-alones as long as they are good reads. They both have their pros and cons - but series *just* win out in my mind. On another day I'd probably say stand-alones though, hehe.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02191122506568430650noreply@blogger.com
